The secret to great light board videos is the camera settings firstly and the lighting secondly. This video will explain the DSLR camera settings for great lightboard videos. (Note, I would drop the aperture to 6 to increase the brightness of the talent).

Of course, it is always important to remember that not everything needs to be optimized when doing your flipped videos – there is a balance to strike between “perfection” and getting the job done in an achievable way and manageable time frame. But at the same time, it is worth striving for quality, and only you can be the judge of how far you want to push the envelope, so to speak.
