An Opportunity for the Flipped Learning Community: BookWidgets

An opportunity from an original flipper:

Take a look at the message below from Kate Baker an FLN board member, flipped learning author, education innovator, and long time classroom teacher who now works with BookWidgets. Kate has been an integral part of the FLN, FlipTech conferences, and the flipped community in general since nearly the begining and we always love to see where the flipped classroom has taken people as we all try to improve our teaching and enhance learning for students.

Hello Flipped Learning Educators!

For those of you who don’t know me, I’m Kate Baker, veteran flipped learning educator, Board Member of the Flipped Learning Network, and Edtech Specialist at BookWidgets. We here at BookWidgets have some big news we are announcing soon: we’ve developed a brand new widget type!

As Flipped Learning educators, you know the value of great content creation and evaluation tools, and we, at BookWidgets, are committed to providing teachers with a tool to easily tailor engaging exercises and to quickly give comprehensive feedback so students can achieve better learning outcomes.

Before we send this brand new widget type out to the world, we need a group of teachers to test it and give constructive feedback. This way, we’re sure that it will be bug-free and easy to use upon release (the release date will depend on your feedback).

Do you want to test this new widget type (beta)?

The first 20 beta-testers who complete the steps below will receive a free BookWidgets license for 1 year!

  1. Create an account at BookWidgets.com

  2. Send an email with the subject line “FLN Beta Test” from your BookWidgets account email address to support@bookwidgets.com so we can add the beta version of this widget to your account and provide you with some quick guidelines. Please include that you are responding to the post in the Flipped Learning Network group in the body of your email.

⚠️ The launch of our widget must be a surprise for all teachers. Therefore, it’s important not to show the beta widget to anyone on social media during the beta testing stage (but feel free to use it with your students!). We will keep it our little secret until the big day! 😉

Cheers!

Kate and the BookWidgets team
