  • Good tips Joel. Thanks. This is what I already do due to lack of ability rather than choice, but it makes sense. I take the point about making clear the learning goal for the session in question. I need to tighten up on that. I read a short piece a while back saying students are not looking for slick videos, but they do like to see the face of the person they meet face to face in the classroom (one of the problems with using too many OERs). Also, apparently one should not over-do the face time.

  • These are great tips for me as I will be embarking on making SHORT videos of myself reading a story or doing a phonics activity with my kindergartners due to distance learning this fall!
