For this installment of the Flipping Learning Network’s Educator Spotlight, I hung out with educator Natalee Stotz, Director of High School Education, who also simultaneously teaches multiple subjects and grades at Windham Christian Academy in Maine.
Natalee was one of the first people I connected with when I joined the Flipped Learning community, and even though we have never met face to face (yet), she and I have collaborated via Twitter and Google Tools on curriculum design for courses, units, and lessons of study. Even though Natalee and I primarily teach high school English classes, the tools and techniques we discuss are applicable to all subjects because the focus is on effective instructional design and classroom culture.
We also briefly mention and discuss a number of tech tools, and I want to go ahead and list them here for those who might wish to seek out more information about them:
- Twitter #Flipclass Chat
- Google Forms
- Membean http://membean.com/
- Grammarflip https://www.
- English Grammar 101 https://www.
- Actively Learn http://www.
This is the second installment in this series, and we have plenty more lined up! Check out Episode 1 here.
